Latvian artist Diana Tamane in the exhibition ‘Love is Louder’ in Bozar

10/10/2024

Diana Tamane is a Latvian artist who works in multimedia. She combines photography, video, text and found objects with an introspective, documentary approach. Diana draws inspiration from autobiography, working with intimate and sometimes trivial details of her family’s daily life. ‘It’s like a thread that facilitates communication. It’s my love language,’ she admits. For this work, Tamane revisits family albums and shows moments of tactile closeness between her family members. In this way, she creates history in images, both personal and universal, questioning the dynamics that underlie bonds of affection, hierarchy or power in the family and, more broadly, in post-Soviet society. A touching, personal, project that resonates in every heart.

‘KiKK in Town’ at art and digital festival in Namur

We walked through most of the 12 locations of the KIKK in Town festival trail with art director Marie du Chastel. Many of the projects we saw played with our perception of reality. Such is the orange ball - when you roll it, it changes shades. A glowing black dot...

13-th edition of KIKK festival in Namur

The KIKK festival in Namur has been promoting the idea of popularising science through art since 2011. On 23 October 2024, the Walloon capital started to move - various venues from the Market in the city centre to a new exhibition at Le Pavillon were opened. I'm not a...

The CID Grand Hornu Centre for Contemporary Design generates super relevant ideas in the process of preparing exhibitions, each one more unusual than the last. To understand its narratives requires time and active brain work. An argument in favour of ‘contemporary...
